- Make laser technician aware of any medical concerns or conditions prior to appointment
Post-Laser Checklist
For optimal results, please follow the checklist below after your laser hair removal treatments.
- Avoid extreme sun exposure
- Avoid any physical activity that will cause sweating for at least 24 hrs after treatment
- Avoid extreme heat for at least 24 hrs (saunas, steam rooms, hot baths)
- continue to shave between appointments, avoiding any other method of hair removal (tweezing, waxing, or hair removal creams)
- Plan your next visit between the recommended time periods given by the laser technician
FAQs
Does it hurt?
Not nearly as much as other hair removal methods! At most, it feels like a rubber band snap. Your comfort is of utmost importance to us, which is why we use a state-of-the-art laser with a sub-zero cooling system that cools the skin before, during, and after each pulse. Assuring a comfortable and pain-free experience.
How many sessions will I need?
Because the hair is always in different stages of its growth cycle, only a certain amount of hair can be removed at once. We recommend. 6-12 sessions, spaced out every 4-6 weeks for optimal long-term results.
How long does it last?
Laser hair removal results last a lifetime if it is properly maintained.
What are some contraindications?
You should not receive laser hair removal treatments if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or if you have a history keloid scarring. We cannot treat areas with tattoos or permanent make-up.
If you have taken Accutane in the last year, please let us know as laser hair removal may not be right for you at this time.
What else do I need to know?
Please shave the area to be treated the night before or the day of your appointment. Do not pluck, wax, use depilatory creams or undergo electrolysis in the areas you wish to treat for 6 weeks prior to your hair removal appointment.
